Port Coquitlam Expansion Update

We have officially entered the second phase of our Port Coquitlam expansion!

To anyone who has been to our Port Coquitlam store before… our front door has changed!

The entrance to our store is now next door in the new space 🙂

For those of you who are used to shopping at our Port Coquitlam store, you may feel a little turned around as we have completely flipped our store backwards! Just follow the signs for the entrance and exit!

What’s happened so far?

Well, the wall just came down (last night) in between the two store areas leaving a lot more room for a more comfortable shopping experience. As well, we have a dedicated cashier that will be working at all times to help with speed and get you on your way faster!

And a big change… we’ve just got some brand new beautiful meat cases! Come on by and take a peek, we hope you love our new look!

Our new local chalkboards also just went up! Next time you visit, take a look at the story they tell. The chalkboard on the left-hand side tells our history of Meridian Meats & Seafood PoCo from our first store which opened in Port Coquitlam in 1989 by Mom & Dad on Prairie and Coast Meridian (hence “Meridian Meats”) to our 6 stores now. While deciding what to put on these chalkboard signs, we learned some really cool facts about our family owned & operated business — feel free to check ‘em out during you next visit! The sign on the right is all about our MEAT (it is the meat and potatoes of our business)!

What’s next?

Our full deli-cious expansion should be completed in August. Our increased selection will include fresh sliced cold cuts, cheese, ready-made entrees, dips, spreads, fresh pastas, salads, select groceries and more! We hope to see you soon!

Hi Janet,
Thank you so much for your support and your kind words! Our full deli will not be open until August, but until then we will still have our full selection of meat and seafood that we have in our previous location (with more room to walk around). We look forward to seeing you soon 🙂

seeing you have a DELI would be nice to have a place to get a salad, soup or sandwich with a spot to sit and eat. Just something to think about for the next phase. Would be nice.

Meridian Meats says:

Hi Audrey,
We are so glad to read that you are excited about our deli! A spot to sit or eat would be amazing, hopefully one day we will find the space 🙂
Thank you for your support of our store, we really appreciate it!

Love the quality of your meat, I have shopped with you since the first store on Coast.
It’s too bad you couldn’t take over from Kin’s their overpriced produce makes me go to Safeway…better selection of produce for a lower price.
