A heart-felt thank-you to all of our customers who helped make our first Food Banks BC fundraiser a huge success. Our featured item for this fundraiser was Meridian's 100% grass-fed New York steaks, of which we donated $0.50 per during the month of September. Over the 30-day period we sold over 15,000 New York steaks across all locations and we're proud to announce that our donation total is:
$7773.50!
These funds will go directly to Food Banks BC who are able to stretch this amount by purchasing much-needed food items in bulk. As we all know, the holiday season is a time when food banks around the province are most in need, so we're hoping that this donation will give them a bit of head start on their busy season.
Food Banks BC supports over 100 locations across the province with a mission to "inspire, empower and support our members to achieve hunger-free communities."
