Ingredients You'll Need
- 6 Pounds Meridian Pork Baby Back Ribs
- 3 Cups Meridian Chicken & Rib Sauce
- 3 Tbsp. Paprika
- 2 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Tsp. Cayenne Pepper
- Salt and Pepper, to taste
Directions
- Mix the paprika, sugar, cayenne, salt, and pepper together to make a rub and rub this mixture all over the racks
- Place the ribs meat side out into the slow cooker standing up
- The ribs should curve along the wall of the slow cooker and the remaining rack should be stacked against the others
- Pour the 2 cups of chicken and rib sauce over the ribs
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for six to eight hours
- Once the ribs are done cooking, remove them from the slow cooker and let them rest while being tented in foil
- Remove the slow cooker insert and let it cool down
- Skim the fat from the top of the BBQ sauce and juices
- Pour the sauce into a sauce pan and allow to simmer until it reduces (approximately 20 minutes)
- Line a sheet pan with foil and a cooling rack that has been sprayed with non-stick spray oil
- Place an oven rack approximately 10 inches below the broiler and set the oven on broil
- Place the rib racks, bone side up on the sheet pan and rack and brush with the BBQ sauce that has reduced
- Broil the ribs for approximately 5 minutes
- Turn the ribs over and brush with more BBQ sauce, and then broil for another 10 minutes
- Remove cooked ribs from the oven and place the ribs on a cutting board and tent them with tin foil and allow them to rest for 1o minutes
- Cut the ribs individually and serve with any remaining BBQ sauce
