Ingredients You'll Need
- 5 large apples
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 2/3 cup oats
- 2/3 cup brown sugar, loosely packed
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 4 tbsp. butter, softened
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
- Peel apples and cut into chunks
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup brown sugar, granulated sugar, apples, salt and 1 tsp. cinnamon
- Spread sugared apple mixture onto the bottom of a crock-pot
- Mix oats, 2/3 cup brown sugar, flour, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon butter and vanilla extract
- Sprinkle oat mixture on top of the sugared apple mixture
- Cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours
- After cooking, turn off heat and allow crumble to sit covered for one hour to allow the caramel to thicken
- Serve warm on it's own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
