Turducken

Start a new  holiday tradition!  More than just the latest food fad, Turducken has truly earned its right at the holiday dinner table

What is TURDUCKEN you ask?

Traditionally, it is a whole boneless chicken and whole boneless duck stuffed inside a semi-boneless turkey with layers of seasoned dressing.  We make them fresh in store and provide you with easy cooking instructions.  The presentation and flavour is remarkable ~ people will be talking about it all year.

We have two turducken options for you to choose from…

Rolled Turducken Breast Roasts

MSL_5710

Made fresh in store by our butchers – We debone a fresh turkey breast, duck breast and chicken breast, then roll them together with layers of seasoned dressing.  Easy to cook, easy to carve and it’s ideal for smaller gatherings.  Turducken Breast Roasts range in size from 4-5 lbs and serve approx 6-8 people.

How do I cook it?

Oven roast your turducken the same way you'd cook a turkey! We recommend you roast it uncovered at 450 degrees F for the first 30 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees F for the duration. The turducken breast roast should take approximately 2 hours to cook.

*Important: Ensure the internal temperature reaches 180 degrees F.

Fresh Whole Turducken

Whole Turducken

We debone a whole fresh free run turkey, fresh Muscovy duck breast and a whole fresh free run chicken.  We then roll them together with layers of dressing and seasoning, then tie it all up with butcher’s twine so it’s ready for roasting!  The total weight is approximately 14-15 lbs and serve approx 12-15 people.

I’ve always wondered, do you take the skin off the chicken and duck?

Meridian Meats says:

Hi Haydee,
The skin is removed from the chicken and the duck in our turduckens.
