Ingredients You'll Need
- 1 Package (1 lb.) potato gnocchi
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 3 strips cooked bacon, chopped
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 F
- Spray a baking dish with nonstick spray, set aside
- Boil a pot of water and cook gnocchi according to package instructions
- Drain and arrange in a single layer at the bottom of the baking dish
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter
- Stir in garlic and cook until lightly golden, about 1 minute
- Whisk in flour until mixture thickens
- Add the milk and whisk until the sauce thickens, about 3 minutes
- Whisk in 1 cup of cheese
- Whisk until smooth
- Remove from heat and stir in the sour cream
- Season with salt and pepper, to taste
- Pour sauce over gnocchi and sprinkle with remaining cheese, green onions and bacon
- Bake for 25 minutes, or until cheese melts
- Remove from oven and allow to sit for 5 minutes
